No magazine until August
And maybe not even then!
Hello, club members and magazine readers. As your editor is leaving for the UK on Sunday 21 June, and as he has so far not received anything for the next mag anyway, the next issue of Veloce Nota will be postponed until August, if it appears at all.
Important dates
Baskerville Hillclimb
Our round of the State Hillclimb series is on 12 July at Baskerville, so get there if you can – either in a car or on foot to give a hand. If there are lots of people it makes it a much easier event to run.
Eaglehawk Neck Hillclimb Regularity
As you may have heard, we have been attempting for some months to get an event going at Eaglehawk Neck, on what is one of the best hillclimb roads in the state. There have been a large number of safety problems to deal with, and as a result the event will this year be run as a regularity event. Supp regs are in preparation at the moment, so watch the club web site.
The event will run on Saturday 22 August. And for this one we definitely need all the help we can get. For example, there has to be a person with a radio in every driveway on the road. And as you can see from the attached sketch map, there are a lot of driveways and a lot of course to look after.
Entries open for Baskerville Hillclimb
Entries are now open for Round Two of the Tasmanian Hill Climb Series at Baskerville Raceway on Sunday the 12th of July 2015.
Entries may also be submitted online via CAMS Event Entry
Special General Meeting – 30 June
A Special General Meeting to discuss the MSCT share return will be held at 6:30pm on Tuesday the 30th of June at the Civic Club
Collinsvale Hillclimb – Cancelled for 2015
Unfortunately this year’s event will not be going ahead. We intend to run it again in 2016.
Apologies to all our regular competitors, officials, spectators and supporters.
Festa Italia Hobart
The annual Festa Italia Hobart street festival will this year take place on Sunday 22 February, taking place at the Australian Italian Club on Federal Street, North Hobart.
The free event will run from 11am until 5pm, with live music, gourmet food and wine, regional displays, car and motorbike displays, children’s activities, cooking demonstrations, grape crushing, spaghetti eating competitions and much more.
Entertainment will include comedian James Liotta, entertainers Tony Pantano and Dean Canan, award winning dance groups from Melbourne, and local artists Mamma Rosa and Dino Minucci.
Social BBQ at Dru Point on Sunday 1st February
Our first event of the year will be a family BBQ at Dru Point.
Parliament Lawns Display – Cancelled
Unfortunately the club’s display this Saturday November 29th will not be going ahead due to unforeseen circumstances.
The annual awards dinner is most definitely on in the evening, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Annual General Meeting – 25th November
The AGM is to be held on 25 November, at the Civic Club, starting at 7pm. All positions are vacant and nominations are called for.
In order for the club to continue to run we need members to step up and join the committee for 2014-2015.
If you enjoy participating in the club’s events, we would urge you to consider nominating for the committee to continue to make them happen – committee meetings are a couple of hours once a month.
