Looks like we’ll have a big anniversary next year – yesterday saw the 14th running of the CMI Domain Hillclimb. It’s been with us for so long that many people don’t remember the original Domain Hillclimb course from the ’50s onwards started on the lower road near Government House. Targa re-used parts of that course, but ours is on a different road altogether for a variety of reasons. Either way, yesterday was a cracker, with the best weather for many years, a great turnout of officials, and a very enthusiastic and varied field of competitors.
Congratulations to Rod Bender on his back to back victories in the event outright, and to all other class and category winners for their performances – there were many hard-fought tussles.
